Who We Are
Our Expertise
Sometimes all we need is love, patience and passion. Crafting has always been a part of my life, taught by the best I could ever have hoped for; family and friends who have spent a lifetime learning their craft and delighting in passing on their knowledge.
Art in all genres came to me through my father who was a passionate oil painter and who encouraged me daily to pick up a pencil or brush and draw and paint simply for the love of it.
Similarly baking was passed on to me through my grandmother, a farmer's wife who baked and cooked for a hoard of workers and family every day, delighting in the joy of seeing her efforts devoured and relished by everyone who was lucky enough to be there.
I discovered quilting and patchwork after our second child was born 20 years ago, and have loved learning and creating ever since. Thanks to the wonderful efforts of an amazing bunch of like minded friends who have shared their expertise, I can now share with everyone the wonders of the needle and thread!
My passions were born from these examples, and today I carry on the mantle of seeing the pleasure others get from my efforts. Walnut & Lobster is here because of them xOur Work
Art Work
The landscapes and nature of Herefordshire and Powys have inspired me my whole life and through the mediums of watercolour, pencil, ink, and pastels is a wonderful way of re-creating these memories.

Walnut & Lobster only uses the highest quality fabrics from start to finish. The fabrics are chosen from ranges such as French General from Moda, to natural linens & soft wools, all blended together to create the most beautiful additions to any room. The combinations of blues, beige & creams, or the sultry tones of greens and reds, can elevate any space with just a cushion on a chair or a glorious quilt draped lovingly over the edge of the bed.

Nothing can beat a home cooked chocolate cake, an apple pie, the glorious taste of mini pavlovas or the warming comfort of a humble but perfect welsh cake.
No request is too small, with everything made to order, using all the best products, and of course free range eggs from our very cheeky hens.
